Add Cochrane to Niagara Falls Tightrope Walkers

After the thrill and energy that Nik Wallenda brought to Niagara Falls it was only a matter of time before the tightrope walkers descended on the town. Jay Cochrane Niagara Falls Tightrope walker68 year old Jay Cochrane will be taking to the wire all summer long with a walk between the Skylon Tower and the Niagara Fallsview Casino.

Cochrane won’t have the Falls to deal with like Wallenda but 50 stories above hot pavement is nothing to dismiss.  And Cochrane will not be using the “infamous” tether Wallenda was forced to use.

Cochrane has completed 5,000 plus walks in his career and looks to satisfy onlookers who may have missed the Wallenda walk.

The 1,300 foot wire will be 1 inch wide.  That’s half the width of Wallenda’s.  Although there is lots to compare between the tightrope walkers, Cochrane is a fan and holds no animosity.  He’ll have a microphone on and will be talking during the daily walks to fans below.

Performances will begin at 7 p.m. weather permitting.  No tickets are necessary.
