Designed in part to replicate the ruins of a tropical rainforest, this aviary has an otherworldly feel. Its 500+ denizens have no trouble adapting to the setting, however, thanks to native plants, water features and a controlled climate. The birds, free to fly about unhindered, display a variety of colors, cries and songs. Visitors can even feed the lorikeets, a pastime which kids adore. Also on the premises are a gift shop and cafe. Guided tours are available for groups of 10 or more with a reservation.
